Globalization

People have been focusing on globalization ever since a couple of decade ago.

Is globalization just another propaganda and another way for the larger nations to manipulate (or conquer) the developing country or the 3rd world countries? Is it another adventure of expanding their ideology and their nations just as war of taking over lands and resources in the China emperor's era? Conquering a person in terms of intellectual and mentality capability is even more powerful than taking over them physically by taking over their lands. Molding of the intellectual and mentality scope pulls people voluntarily and willingly to the source of the mold. 

India, is a country that is heavily influenced by globalization. 54% of the population currently are under 25 years old. Kids learn and are exposed to the American culture and American lifestyle. It's a sad thing to see that people with real unique identities are foregoing their own to embrace others'.

Preserving uniqueness requires confidence. If one does not have the confidence in his/her own uniqueness, he/she tends to follow the lead of others to mold their own image. Globalization could be a winning factor in aiding to elevate living standards and bringing in economical benefits to the poorer society. But, in cases where people have to adopt other cultures and lifestyles in order to gain competitiveness is putting the culture's uniqueness in jeopardy. One day, we'll wonder - who are we (btw)?
